I founded BAYADA. I was fortunate enough to find a field where I could help people and make a difference. I’ve always been interested in helping others. Being in service to others is an inner drive.
We’re fortunate to have a team of like-minded people who share our mission to help others and subscribe to our core values of compassion, excellence, and reliability.
The BAYADA Way serves as a clear written guide for all people who work at BAYADA. We refer to it collectively and often to help us judge a particular situation and know how we’re supposed to behave. I sum it up by saying: Big hearts. High standards. Every day.
We take The BAYADA Way very seriously. As an organization, we’re working with the universal spirit of faith, hope, and love.
If you want to join an organization that’s mission-based and value-driven, this is the place. We offer the chance to perform meaningful work.

Working at BAYADA has given me a new level of experience. It’s a chance for me to be very independent. When you’re the only one in the home, you have to be able to teach and recognize when you need help. So it’s important work, and what you do matters.
I think it’s seeing my clients grow and improve, as well as getting to know their families. Right now I care for two toddlers, and one of the mothers I’m with most of the time now tells me I’m a part of her family.
There’s a lot of teamwork involved. We follow up with each other, leaving notes, reminders, and getting on the phone. It really takes more than one person to care for the client. It’s not exactly in the job description, but you do become attached to your clients, and you go the extra mile for their care.
It really gives you more of an appreciation of why you’re doing what you’re doing. You know you should already be compassionate all the time. That’s a given for nurses, but saying it out loud really puts it in perspective and reminds you how important it is to follow these standards.
BAYADA has people who provide training, and they train our people well. I get a lot more support as far as teaching and making sure nurses are qualified for the job. There’s a lot more responsibility than people realize, and the nurses have to be clinically skilled to do this work.

When I came to BAYADA, there wasn’t a centralized recruiting office, and my office was created to help the directors hire managerial staff. So professionally and personally, it’s been a wonderful opportunity to create something new and build a team.
To have a happy client. In my role, that means our hiring managers and division directors are pleased that we brought in quality candidates and talent. We don’t want people to just do fine. We want top talent and passion.
The people on my team are very passionate about what they are doing. They really do care. We’re customer-focused and candidate-focused. And we always go the extra mile. I don’t have anyone that doesn’t put in 110%.
Everything that we do is tied to The BAYADA Way . It’s a very relationship-based company, and it’s very supportive. You ask a question and people genuinely want to help you here. It comes from the top, and it sends a message throughout the organization.
All of the services we provide. People think we only hire nurses, but we have OTs, PTs, speech language pathologists, a whole division for hospice and pediatrics. Our services are so vast, and we need a lot of great people to keep it working.
It’s very entrepreneurial here. You can come up with ideas and really run with them. We’re always testing new and better ways to do things. If you embrace the culture and work, you can really build a great career.

Working at BAYADA has really given me a broad perspective on what’s out there, what families are dealing with in their homes, and what we do as nurses to help them. I also have flexibility in my schedule, so I can spend time with my family.
Knowing that the families are comfortable with me, and that they trust me with their son or daughter. They trust me to do a good job. That’s a big deal.
Many of them are dependent on one-on-one care. School is in the home, and they have round-the-clock nurses. I enjoy taking care of my clients. I like the fact that I make the families feel comfortable enough that they can lead a semi-normal life.
The BAYADA Way makes me look at things from a different perspective. I try to put myself in the families’ shoes and do what I would want done with my loved one. I treat them the way I would want to be treated.
We have great communication between the field employees, the offices, and supervisors—all the way down to the client service managers. I feel supported when I’m out in the field.
It’s rewarding. You know that you’re doing a good job relieving the stress from a family. It’s very flexible, and the support staff is great. As long as you’re willing to go the extra mile, the office and the directors are willing to do that for you, too.

I started as a recruiter and personnel coordinator, and I received a lot of support from my director and others in the company. I’ve had an amazing career path because of the people here at the company who believed in me. They do what it takes to help you achieve your goals.
It’s really two-sided for me. In my role, I can provide care and support to all the other people I work with. And I get to work with clients, too. I enjoy being able to help people and make things work out for them in their lives.
My team members are my family. I absolutely 100% believe in them, and I know they believe in me. They are outstanding individuals who are looking to do great things for the company and the people we serve.
I remember when The BAYADA Way was being developed. As Mark began to put down his belief system and vision, it became clear to me that this is my home. If everybody could operate this way, wow, this world would be a better place.
That everyone is compassionate and nice. People come here and they interview with people who are nice and friendly. Some may think it’s an act, but when you get here, you realize that it’s real.
What BAYADA does for people is help solidify that they are doing the right thing, and there is good out there. It’s a great place to work because of the caring people here who really believe in what they do every day.

BAYADA is a company with an appetite to experiment, where you can feel secure enough to be very creative, and at the same time the company is working toward a very benevolent cause—to help people in their homes.
I’m surrounded by intelligent people who are working toward the same goal, and they know that other people are counting on them. It comes across day to day. There’s a sense of urgency on the front lines with the caregivers—that’s how we make decisions here to support them.
I have a team of experts who take a lot of pride in their work. They’re very smart about connecting the dots and understanding their piece in the puzzle. But you know, first and foremost, they are just really caring people.
It helps me keep in perspective my role with regards to the role of our nurses and ultimately the care we provide to our clients. When managing these technologies, we need to be as reliable as the light switch, which sounds mundane. However, when you think about what these innovations allow the nurses to achieve, it can mean direct improvement of care to our clients—and that’s exciting.
I think it would surprise people that this is a very large company, with 17,000 nurses, home health aides, therapists, medical social workers, managers, and other health care professionals across the country. And we still have the culture of a small family-oriented team in which everyone has a voice and a contribution to make. There is a tremendous amount of pride in the company from all its employees.

For a long time, I wanted a change in my career, so I could move beyond the hospital setting. I thought about home health care, and then I discovered BAYADA. They offered me the chance to use my clinical management skills in a new arena of nursing. The environment here is so supportive that I’ve been able to grow continually in my career.
There are so many rewarding things here at BAYADA. But I’d have to say that helping my clients maintain the best quality of life at home tops the list. It’s good to know that through your work clients are able to stay home and be with their loved ones.
I know it sounds cliché, but they’re like family. I believe that I stay so long every day not just because of the care we provide clients, but because of the people I work with. The teamwork and camaraderie make my life so much easier, especially on those tough days.
Compassion, excellence, and reliability are all necessary in my work. But what shapes my work most from day to day is excellence. As a clinical manager, I directly impact the care we give our clients by ensuring we hire highly skilled candidates, whether it’s a home health aide, nurse, or therapist.
When you work for a hospital or insurance company, you work for a board of directors—people that you don’t even know. Here, you work for your clients and directly with Mark Baiada. Mark is around all the time, and he really cares for his employees. Knowing that makes you want to work harder because he shows appreciation for the work you do.
It’s a place where you can use your skills in a multifaceted work environment. You can derive much satisfaction from the work you do, knowing that you’re making a difference. You’re helping clients maintain independence and the best possible quality of life at home. And on top of that, BAYADA offers many growth opportunities.

There are many opportunities for growth at BAYADA. I could move to a higher-level managerial position or into an educational role. Or I could stay where I am and continue to try to help out as many people as I can. I have many options for my future.
Knowing that I’m getting important things done for people who might not have the resources and tools to get what they need. I became a nurse because I enjoy helping people, and I do that every day at BAYADA.
Everybody is great, and they’ve always wanted to see me do well. When new people come aboard, we work together to welcome them. We want to see each other succeed every day, and we collaborate to make that possible.
It makes me want to do my best because it’s not just me I’m representing. When I worked in the hospital, I felt like I was just representing the hospital name. But here I feel like I represent people, not just an organization, from my team members all the way up to Mr. Baiada.
How incredibly reliable we are surprises people, which is a really big deal in home health care. I’ve spoken with clients who have had other agencies in the past, and the consensus is that we’re head and shoulders above everybody else in terms of reliability.
Join our team and you will find that this can be a very rewarding experience, especially as a nurse. It’s the type of work where you’re making a real difference in someone’s day, and that just might carry on for a lifetime.

Working at BAYADA has given me the opportunity to grow from a Vice President of Human Resources (HR) in an operations division to being the head of HR for an entire company. In my role, I’ve been able to really assess the organization’s needs and create something new that really contributes to business goals and profitability. My work is helping BAYADA become more competitive in the market while generating growth—and it’s been very fulfilling personally and professionally.
Building professional relationships is the most rewarding part of my work. When people collaborate to create something, that’s usually when it turns out to be the better product or service. BAYADA is a very relationship-driven organization, and those relationships you form help keep employees satisfied.
I’m on the management committee, and we’re a strong team. We collaborate to solve problems and strategize the future of the organization. Peer relationships are very important, and I think they really contribute to the success of the overall company.
It’s in everything we do, and I find it very inspiring. When I first started, I kept thinking the other shoe was going to drop one day because I couldn’t imagine that any place could be this great to work. But everyone here believes and lives The BAYADA Way every day on the job. We have a wonderful culture here.
We have a lot of competitors, and you really have to be the best of the best to get the business. We consistently strive for excellence and that sets us apart. Despite the competition, we continue to grow. I believe that’s due, in part, to the resources and support we provide our employees, like our leadership development and training programs.
I’ve never seen as much growth opportunity for employees as I do at BAYADA. People truly want you to succeed and will help along the way. The culture is very welcoming here, and it’s very enjoyable to work in a company that lives and breathes The BAYADA Way .

Bayada encourages and provides me the opportunity to explore services and resource options for my clients within health care communities. Our teamwork approach fosters ongoing communication and feedback. And we take a holistic and interdisciplinary approach that allows us to use a wide variety of options beyond basic case management to meet clients’ needs.
The scope of medical social work varies with each client. It can be life changing for clients when you advocate for them and provide the services and resources that they really need. It is always great when a plan comes together that truly enhances the client’s life.
We are a very professional group of people who specialize in home health care. Through teamwork and a holistic approach, we communicate ongoing clients’ needs and provide services to better their lives.
At BAYADA, we work on the premise of compassion and ethics. There is a holistic approach in client care services and a deep sense of professional respect for each other.
BAYADA reaches out into the community beyond the health care field through charitable work. There’s also a strong focus on celebrating "heroes" within the agency. And BAYADA has an extensive education system and encourages professional development through learning to enrich your career.
BAYADA takes an active support role toward all employees. They offer a reasonable benefits package, and they recognize their employees for outstanding achievement, which provides a wonderful incentive to go above and beyond every day on the job.
